- Design process of mini conveyor

The small mini conveyor has a wide application for many kinds of automation equipments. Here is a brief introduction of design process of micro conveyor belt machine.
Step 1: determine the length and height of the miniature conveyor according to the automation equipment layout. And then determine the conveyor width according to the product size.
Step 2: determine the length and width according to conveyor machine size. And then determine the belt thickness according to product weight. The heavier the product, the thicker the belt thickness.
Step 3: determine the belt material. If conveyor normal industrial products or electronics, choose the PVC belt. If convey food, choose the PU belt. And if convey medical produts, you can choose the PE belt. If for heavy duty products, you can choose the rubber belt or fabric belt.
Step 4: determine the support part of mini conveyor machine. The belt is always soft, and the belt will inevitably be deformed in the process of conveying products. Then it is not so stable when conveying products. So it needs the support part. And there are mainly four kinds of support parts. (1) Sheet metal is suitable for occasions with small loads (lightweight) and slow speeds. (2) The roller is suitable for occasions with heavy load and fast speed. (3) Sheet metal + roller is suitable for occasions with medium load and medium speed. (4) Aluminum extrusion profile.
Step 5: determine the tension type of mini conveyor. If the belt is not tensioned, the belt will become loose. Then the roller cannot drive the belt to run. There are two types of tensioning methods. (1) Expand the center distance of the two drive rollers. (2) Use a tensioning mechanism.
Step 6: prevent belt deviation during operation. Use rollers with baffle or tapered rollers. Or use the grooved roller, meantime use the belt with ribs. Or add baffles at both sides of the conveyor machine.
Step 7: prevent the belt slippage. Tighten the belt to prevent slipping. If it still doesn’t work, use a rubberized roller or a patterned roller.
Step 8: choose the transmission mechanism: couplings, γρανάζια, timing belts, chains. If choose chains, it needs to add a protection cover.
Step 9: determine the type and power of conveyor motor.

Different conveyor belt, different working temperature.
- The general high temperature resistance of PVC and PU conveyor belts is: -10℃—+80℃;
- The high temperature resistance of rubber conveyor belt is 150℃;
- The high temperature resistance of PE conveyor belt is 100℃;
- High temperature resistance of silicone conveyor belt is 200℃;
- Teflon conveyor is namely polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) μεταφορική ταινία. It can withstand high temperatures up to 260°C. Such conveyor belts are commonly used in tunnel furnaces and ovens.
- The canvas conveyor belt can withstand an instantaneous temperature of 150°C. The cotton material belt can withstand high temperatures of 200~300 degrees.
